WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT INDOZ RHYTHMS

COMMENTS FROM PERSONALITIES

IndoOz Rhythms is a successful Sydney Chenda Melam outfit, who try to keep our rich rhythmic tradition in all its glory in this distant place. The group has performed in many venues of significance and is highly commended by even the non-Malayalee listeners. To me this group is dear and close to my heart because the Chenda Vidwans who perform as a group in this is a cluster of very close friends of mine, and I had the honour to inaugurate this outfit not long ago. Ashan Kuriakose managed to import the very classy Chendas and Chendakkols (drum sticks) and proudly exhibited them for us the audience present at the venue on the inaugural day. Success wise they have travelled a long way ahead since and performed before Prime Ministers, dignitaries and commoners of various countries of origins. Take it from me the outfit is very popular in cultural scenes of Sydney; they even appeared in the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald. I am proud of your efforts and may you prosper and spread our cultural heritage in this land we have adopted... God bless. K. RAMAN
